Shopify email integration - Syncing leads to Shopify

1. Syncing leads to Shopify is enabled by default

Once you install the Socital App on your Shopify store, the syncing of leads you collect from Socital campaigns to your Shopify store is enabled by default.

You can check this by going to Account Settings > Integrations in your Socital account. 

2. How and when are leads synced to my Shopify store?

As soon as a new lead subscribes to any of the Socital campaigns you are running on your Shopify store, they are synced to Shopify within a few minutes.

3. Are synced leads added as "Email Subscribers" in my Shopify store?

New leads that are added to your Shopify store from your Socital campaigns are by default added as "Email Subscribers".

Make sure you include the appropriate opt-ins on your Socital campaigns to ensure compliance. 
With Socital you can easily add GDPR consents to your onsite campaigns.

4. Is there any occasion in which synced leads are added as "Not Subscribed"?

Yes, there is just one case. 
If the GDPR Marketing Consent is enabled on your Socital campaign and the visitor subscribes without opting into the Marketing consent.

Visitor subscribes without opting-into the enabled GDPR Marketing Consent:The new lead is added to Shopify as "Not Subscribed".

For that reason if you enable the GDPR Marketing consent on your Socital campaigns, we strongly recommend to make it required.
That way only leads that agree to receive marketing communication from you will subscribe to your Socital campaign.

Otherwise, you will have email marketing leads that have not consented to receive marketing communication from you.
