To allow Socital to connect to Google+ on your behalf, to extract User Data, authenticate users and offer its other services to you, you need to connect to your Socital Account the Google+ app which you are using for Google+ Login.
Step 1: Get your Google+ App ID and App Secret
1. Go to Google Developers Console.
2. Login to your Google Account.
3. From the top bar menu, access the App you want to use for your Socital Google login.
4. Make sure that Google+ API is enabled. To check that, just take a look at the bottom of your App’s Dashboard, under “API” section.
Note: if Google+ API is not activated, please click “Enable API” and follow our instructions here– Go directly to Step 2.
5. Navigate to the API Manager on the left and click on Credentials.
6. Now click on “Create Credentials” and select oAuth Client ID.
7. Select “Web Application” and then a configuration menu will appear.
In the authorized JavaScript origins add https://my.socital.com and your website’s URL in the format of https://yourwebsite.com.
In the authorized redirect URIs add https://plugin.socital.com/api/v1/auth/callback
Then Click on “Create Client ID”.
8. A Pop-up will appear with your Client ID and Secret. Please leave it open, as you will need it for completing the Step 2 below.
Step 2: Add your Google+ App ID and App Secret to your Socital Account
6. Login to your Socital Dashboard.
7. Open the drop-down menu in the top right corner and choose “Account Settings”.
8. From the left-hand menu open the “Connect Social Apps” tab.
9. Click on “Connect a Google Application”.
10. In the pop-up enter your Google+ App Name in the “Your Application Name field”, then your Project ID in the “Application Client ID field” and your Google+ Project Number in the “Application Secret field” and click on “Connect”.
11. You should see a Success message in the popup.
12. You can now see the connected Google+ App in the list of your Connected Social Media apps.
