Follow the simple steps below to install Socital in your Shopify store and start collecting customer identities.
Install Socital on Shopify
- Login to your Socital account and go to “Data Collect”.
2. Click on “Install Plugins”.
3.Copy the code marked in red.
4. Login to your Shopify Dashboard and click on “Online Store” in the menu on the left.
5. Click on “Themes”.
6. Click the ellipses.
7. Click “Edit HTML/CSS” from the drop down menu.
8. Click “theme.liquid”.
9. Paste the Socital code inside the <head> tags within “theme.liquid” (make sure that the code is in between the two head tags). Then click “Save”.
10. Click the icon to view your online store located in the upper left hand side of the menu.
You are all done!
For Embedded Plugins and Popup Button Plugins that appear inline on your website, you need to add one more piece of code at the exact place in your HTML where you want each of the Plugins to appear.
Remember to activate the Plugins through your dashboard, otherwise they won’t be visible on your website.
Uninstall Socital from Shopify
To uninstall Socital from Shopify, simply follow the steps:
1. Login to your Shopify Dashboard and click on “Online Store” in the menu on the left.
2. Click on “Themes”.
3. Click the ellipses.
4. Click “Edit HTML/CSS” from the drop down menu.
5. Click “theme.liquid”.
6. Delete your Socital Script from inside the head tags within “theme.liquid”. Then click “Save”.
