Through our Campaign Monitor integration, you can easily transfer your customers’ email addresses you have collected from Socital onto Campaign Monitor, along with Socital’s extended data fields. Add them to your chosen mailing lists and create personalized email campaigns for your customers. First, follow the simple steps below to connect your Socital Account to your Campaign Monitor Account!
Step 1 Get your API key from Campaign Monitor
1. Go to Campaign Monitor.
2. Login to your account.
3. From the menu on the right top side select “Account settings”.
4. From the menu that appears select “API Keys”.
5. Click on “Show API Key” and then Copy it.
Step 2 Connect your Socital Account with Campaign Monitor
1. Login to your Socital Account.
2. Open the drop-down menu in the top right corner and choose “Account Settings”.
3. From the left-hand menu open the “Integrations” tab.
4. Click on “Campaign Monitor”.
5. In the pop-up enter an App Name for your Campaign Monitor account (you can enter whatever name you choose, this is for internal use only), then paste the API key that you have previously copied and click on “Connect”.
6. A Success Message will appear.
7. You can now see the connected Campaign Monitor account in the list of your Integrations!
Step 3 Set up your Socital-Campaign Monitor Integration
- Click on the settings icon on the right part of your Campaign Monitor account details.
2. A new window with the details of your Campaign Monitor account, as long as your existing Campaign Monitor lists will appear.
A sign next to the list name indicates that you haven’t selected any Socital fields to be exported to Campaign Monitor and therefore only users’ email addresses will be sent to your Campaign Monitor list.
3. By clicking on the settings icon, you can configure the Socital data sets that you will be exporting to the specific Campaign Monitor list. For multiple Campaign Monitor lists, you will have to configure them one-by-one.
Note: in order to be able to actually send Socital data to Campaign Monitor, you will have to either Sync a Socital Plugin with a Campaign Monitor list or conduct a manual Export to a Campaign Monitor list of your choice.
4. Once you click on the settings icon, a Pop-up with all the available Socital Data sets you can possibly export to your Campaign Monitor list will open. Switch between our different Data Set Categories, choose the data you wish and click on the “Save” button.
Note: Please make sure that you do not exceed the limit of the Custom fields you can add to your Campaign Monitor account.
5. Success! You can now see the number of Socital fields you will be exporting to your Campaign Monitor list.
Note: You will be able to return to your Account Settings anytime and add or remove Socital fields. If you remove a field you were previously exporting to Campaign Monitor, this will not permanently remove the field itself from your Campaign Monitor list- it will just stop exporting the specific data. Same goes if you, at some point, choose to add a new Socital field- it will start exporting data from the time you add it and on.
